Rosanne Cash
“I want my work to survive, and I want the process to survive. I think that’s equally as valuable.” - Rosanne Cash
Episode 4 of “Alive in the Archive” features an interview with the incredible singer-songwriter and activist, Rosanne Cash, where she discusses her thoughts on the process of preserving her legacy and the necessity of documenting the cultural contributions of women. The Feminist Institute is honored to have had the chance to speak with Rosanne and hear her words of wisdom.
Rosanne’s newest song, “Crawl Into The Promised Land,” is a powerful retelling of the events of the past year yet portrays a sense of hope for a brighter future. All proceeds from the song are donated to the Arkansas Peace & Justice Memorial Movement, “an educational online memorial to commemorate the victims of lynching in the State of Arkansas in collaboration with the Equal Justice Initiative and Coming to the Table.” Stream and download here: https://rosannecash.lnk.to/CITPLWE
