This video was created for IMOW's MAMA: Motherhood Around the Globe exhibition. Adela worked as a social worker at an orphanage over 30 years ago. She could not have children naturally, so she and her husband adopted Patricia when she was one year old. She loves being a mother and says that she would be sad and lonely if she didn’t have her daughter Patricia in her life. (Patricia is also interviewed for Meet the Mamas.)
